How Much Will It Cost to See Mexico at the 2026 World Cup? FIFA Announces Ticket Prices for the Tournament
FIFA revealed the first ticket prices for the 2026 World Cup: group stage tickets starting at $60 and the most exclusive seats for the final reaching $6,730, where the Mexican national team hopes to shine.
Group Stage Tickets Starting at $60
The wait is over: FIFA confirmed that the first ticket sales phase for the 2026 World Cup will begin on September 29. Fans will be able to purchase tickets for all 104 matches, including venue-specific and team-specific packages.
Prices will start at $60 for group stage matches, giving Mexican fans an affordable chance to follow El Tri from the very beginning of the tournament. In contrast, the most exclusive seats for the final will reach $6,730, reflecting the immense value of witnessing the decisive clash for football’s most prestigious trophy.
In addition, the Mexican national team already knows where they will play their group stage fixtures: two matches in Mexico City at the Estadio Azteca and one more in Guadalajara at the Estadio Akron.
Multiple Phases and Extra Options
The sales process will unfold in several phases. After the Visa preferred draw on September 29, a second phase will run from October 27 to 31, featuring registration and another lottery. Winners will be able to purchase tickets between mid-November and early December. Later, after the final World Cup draw, another phase will allow fans to apply for specific matches once group pairings are known. In the final stretch leading up to the tournament, remaining tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
Additional ticket types will also become available as the tournament approaches, such as fan tickets—designed for supporters who want to sit together—and conditional tickets, which secure a spot if their team advances to the knockout rounds.
Official Resale and Premium Packages
To fight against unauthorized resale, FIFA will launch an official resale platform later this year at FIFA.com/tickets, ensuring fans a safe and reliable way to exchange tickets. In Mexico, residents will also have access to FIFA’s official ticket exchange.
For those seeking a premium experience, hospitality packages are already available at FIFA.com/hospitality, which include tickets and exclusive services. FIFA emphasized that fans should only purchase tickets through official channels, as tickets from non-official sources may not be valid.
