Toney back in England squad for June internationals
Thomas Tuchel has named his England squad for the June fixtures, including one high-profile recall and some big names missing out.
Ivan Toney has been recalled to the England national team ahead of next month's fixtures against Andorra and Senegal.
It is the 29-year-old's first international call-up since moving from Brentford to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli, while his last England appearance came off the bench in the Euro 2024 final against Spain.
Toney has scored 29 goals in 43 appearances while in Saudi Arabia, prompting manager Thomas Tuchel to want to take a closer look at him.
Elsewhere, there is a first senior call-up for Chelsea's Trevoh Chalobah after an impressive season with both the Blues and while on loan at Crystal Palace in the first half of the campaign.
Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham is included in the squad despite having shoulder surgery scheduled after the Club World Cup.
Also playing in that tournament, which starts on June 15, among the squad named by Tuchel are Conor Gallagher, Cole Palmer and Harry Kane.
Ollie Watkins is also back in the squad, having been left out of Tuchel's first camp, with Europa League winner Dominic Solanke left out.
The highest-profile miss from the squad, meanwhile, is Manchester City's Phil Foden, who has endured a tough season.
Marcus Rashford, who has missed Aston Villa's run-in due to a hamstring injury, Harry Maguire, Jarrod Bowen and Adam Wharton also all miss out.
England face Andorra in a World Cup qualifier on June 7, before hosting Senegal in a friendly three days later.
