Kylian Mbappé won’t slow down: the French captain wants to play no matter what
The captain of France sent a message of calm ahead of the match against Azerbaijan. His determination leaves no room for doubt.
Total Commitment to Les Bleus
Kylian Mbappé put an end to any doubts about his availability for the French national team.
Speaking at a press conference before the clash with Azerbaijan, the Real Madrid star assured that he feels “good” and is eager to play — sending a message of calm to fans and to Didier Deschamps’ coaching staff.
“I want to play. The coach wants me to play, so I don’t think there will be any problems,” he said confidently. “I haven’t trained with the group yet, but I will today — that will be the final test. I have no particular concerns. I want to play and keep moving forward on this path toward the World Cup.”
A Leader’s Mindset
Mbappé, who picked up a slight ankle knock during Real Madrid’s 3–1 win over Villarreal, didn’t want to miss the call-up.
“For us, the French national team is the most important thing. Everything went well in Madrid. There was clear communication with the club, and I wanted to be here,” he explained, reaffirming his commitment to the blue shirt.
A New Energy in Madrid
The forward also spoke about his adaptation to life in the Spanish capital:
“I’ve settled in well in Madrid. I’m calmer there. It’s not a criticism of France — the lifestyle is just different, less hectic than in Paris. I’ve managed to clear my head and recover my legs,” said the captain, making it clear that he’s in a great personal moment.
France Can Breathe
Mbappé’s words not only put to rest any physical concerns but also reinforced his image as a true leader inside the dressing room.
While French fans wait to see him back on the pitch, one thing is clear — his commitment is beyond question.
The No. 10 of Les Bleus isn’t stepping aside: he’s ready to keep leading the road to the World Cup.
