PSG arrives as the reigning UEFA Champions League winner, while Aston Villa earned its place after winning the Europa League. For the French side, it will also be an opportunity to defend the trophy it captured in the previous edition.

The team coached by Luis Enrique arrives in Austria after winning the Champions League again, establishing itself as one of the leading forces in European soccer.
Among its main stars are Ousmane Dembélé, Vitinha, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, players who will be expected to lead the attack against an English side that has already shown it can compete on the international stage.
The Parisian club enters the match after playing several preseason friendlies. Its goal will be to show a version closer to the one that allowed it to lift Europe’s biggest club competition once again and add another trophy to its collection.
Aston Villa Looks to Surprise Again
On the other side will be an Aston Villa team coached by Unai Emery, which enters the match looking to confirm the progress it showed throughout last season.
The English side won the Europa League after an outstanding campaign and will now try to overcome the European champions. Players such as Emiliano Buendía, Johan Manzambi, and Victor Lindelöf are among the key names for the Birmingham club.
In addition, Aston Villa already knows what it takes to defeat PSG. In April 2025, it beat the French side 3-2 in the second leg of the Champions League quarterfinals, although the Parisians ultimately advanced from the tie.
