The French Football Federation confirmed that Zaire-Emery is dealing with an adductor injury that prevents him from joining the national team camp. The midfielder had started in PSG's 2-1 victory over Marseille in Ligue 1, but the physical issue ultimately forced him to withdraw from the squad.
To replace him, Zidane turned to Akliouche, who also plays for PSG and will join the squad for the upcoming international matches.
Akliouche Takes Zaire-Emery's Place
The addition of Akliouche gives France a different option in midfield. While Zaire-Emery will miss this international window due to injury, his PSG teammate will have the opportunity to enter Zidane's plans for a series of important matches.
