The World Champions secured a home victory at Sevilla FC’s stadium, earning their second win of the European tournament. Both victories have come against tough opponents.
Spain once again showcased their attacking firepower, defeating Croatia 4-1 at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium in the second matchday of the 2026-27 UEFA Nations League. The victory keeps Luis de la Fuente's side firmly in the race for the top spot in Group A3.
The standout performer was Lamine Yamal, who scored twice and once again proved decisive for La Roja. The Barcelona winger opened the scoring just two minutes into the match with a superb finish before adding his second goal in the second half.
LAMINE YAMAL LEADS SPAIN'S GOAL FEST
Spain came out with intensity and quickly found the breakthrough through Lamine Yamal. Croatia responded with an equalizer from Dion Beljo, but Spain regained the lead before halftime when Marc Pubill found the back of the net to make it 2-1.
After the break, Spain controlled the tempo and continued to create danger. In the 63rd minute, Yamal received an assist from Pedri and completed his brace to put La Roja 3-1 ahead.
SPAIN REMAIN UNBEATEN
With the game firmly under control, Nico Williams struck in the closing stages to complete the 4-1 victory and cap a dominant performance against a Croatia side that had also won its opening match.
The result extends Spain's unbeaten run to 40 consecutive matches. La Roja also add another victory in a UEFA Nations League campaign in which they once again establish themselves as one of the tournament's leading contenders.
