When and where will the 2026-27 UEFA Champions League Final be played?
Madrid will once again host the biggest match in European club soccer. UEFA has confirmed the date and stadium for the conclusion of the 2026-27 season.
The stadium name requires one clarification. For its competition, UEFA officially identifies the venue as the Estadio Metropolitano. Atlético de Madrid, meanwhile, states that the stadium's current official name is Riyadh Air Metropolitano under its naming-rights agreement with the Saudi airline. Both names refer to the same venue.
When is the 2026-27 Champions League Final?

The match is scheduled for Saturday, June 5, 2027. It will conclude the 72nd season of Europe's premier club competition and the 35th since the tournament adopted the UEFA Champions League name.
The final will take place one month after the semifinals. According to UEFA's official calendar, the first legs are scheduled for April 27 and 28, while the return legs will be played on May 4 and 5.
The date and venue are already confirmed. UEFA's dedicated page for the 2027 final does not currently list a specific kickoff time, so no exact match time should be considered confirmed until UEFA publishes event-specific information.
Estadio Metropolitano will host its second final

This will be the stadium's second Champions League final. Its previous one came in 2019, when Liverpool defeated Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 to win its sixth European Cup.
The selection also adds another chapter to Madrid's history with the tournament. The Spanish capital will host a European Cup or Champions League final for the sixth time. The Estadio Santiago Bernabéu staged the finals in 1957, 1969, 1980 and 2010 before Atlético's current stadium hosted the 2019 edition.
What happens if the final is tied?

The trophy is decided in a single match. If the score is level after 90 minutes, two 15-minute periods of extra time are played. If the teams remain tied, the champion is determined by a penalty shootout.
The 2026-27 Champions League will therefore reach its conclusion on June 5, 2027, at the Estadio Metropolitano — officially named Riyadh Air Metropolitano by Atlético de Madrid — during the year in which the stadium marks its 10th anniversary.
