Vitinha: Champions League victory is a dream come true
Vitinha was overjoyed as Paris Saint-Germain fulfilled their European dreams with a first Champions League trophy.
Paris Saint-Germain's Vitinha praised the impact of the fans as their "dream" became reality after beating Inter 5-0 in the Champions League final.
The Parisians lifted the trophy for the first time as they dismantled their Italian opponents in Munich, completing the treble, becoming the first French side to do so.
Desire Doue scored twice and assisted once, becoming the first player to be involved in three goals in a Champions League final, while Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and fellow teenager Senny Mayulu completed the rout.
Vitinha said PSG were motivated to deliver their first taste of European success for their fans, but it was a dream for all of those involved.
"It means everything, it means everything," Vitinha told TNT Sports.
"The fans are the main reason that we wanted to win this trophy, but we wanted to win it for a lot of reasons. It's our dream, it’s everyone's dream, it's my dream, and I'm glad we made it. It's incredible.
"It says a lot [about these players] – it's a very good team. The result is not by magic. We are a very good team, and now we're going to celebrate."
