Possible Lineup for PSG to Face Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League Second-Leg Semifinal
Paris Saint-Germain is on the verge of another European final and dreams of winning back-to-back UEFA Champions League titles. They arrive with an advantage for the second leg, though far from decisive, especially since the match will be played at the Allianz Arena, a challenging venue where they have already proven they can win. Fresh in memory is that 2-3 victory in 2021, also in a high-stakes knockout tie, which boosts the confidence of the Parisian side.
Bayern Munich has not lost at home in this edition of the tournament and has conceded just two goals on their own ground, but PSG arrives as a true offensive machine. The team led by Luis Enrique has scored 122 goals across all competitions, 43 of them in the Champions League, and has shown remarkable balance between attack and defense, positioning itself as one of the most complete teams in Europe.
Goalkeeper and Defense: Stability With Options
In goal will be Matvey Safonov, who, like Manuel Neuer in the first leg, could do little against the opponent’s attacking power. Still, he has been crucial throughout the season with key saves in decisive moments.
The defense presents one of the main questions. Achraf Hakimi could take the right-back position, bringing depth, leadership, and clean buildup from the back. If unavailable, Warren Zaïre-Emery could adapt to that role, prioritizing ball circulation and line-breaking runs, though with less one-on-one ability. At center-back, captain Marquinhos will lead alongside William Pacho, both in excellent competitive form. On the left, Nuno Mendes will be a key piece: solid defensively but also explosive going forward, capable of acting as an additional winger when pushing upfield.

Midfield and Attack: The Engine of PSG
The midfield of PSG is one of its greatest strengths. João Neves and Vitinha will control the tempo of the game, with the latter acting as the team’s true brain, dictating play and organizing every possession. Fabián Ruiz complements the unit with his ball recovery and distribution, setting up a key battle against Joshua Kimmich.
In attack, PSG brings pure firepower. On the left, Désiré Doué combines goal-scoring ability with creative vision. Ousmane Dembélé, in outstanding form, provides imbalance both out wide and centrally, often operating almost as a playmaker thanks to his game intelligence. Completing the front three is Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who is in superb form, lethal in one-on-one situations and crucial with diagonal runs that break defensive lines.
Luis Enrique is expected to deploy a clearly offensive 4-3-3, aiming to exploit the speed and movement of his attackers. With space to operate, PSG is devastating, and if they manage to impose that rhythm, they could seal the tie. Everything is set for a high-voltage clash in Munich.
