Has Harry Kane Already Won the Ballon d’Or? The Mysterious Bayern Munich Photo That Confused Everyone
A photo of Harry Kane in a tuxedo posted by Bayern Munich sparked Ballon d’Or rumors. The club’s post raised eyebrows and left one question hanging: What was behind the image?
A post from Bayern Munich was enough to fuel speculation. The club’s account shared a photo of Harry Kane wearing a tuxedo, accompanied by the message, “It’s almost showtime.” The image caught fans’ attention, prompting them to wonder whether the English striker was connected to a major announcement.
Reactions on social media quickly turned to the Ballon d’Or. Some supporters even suggested that Kane might have won the prestigious award, especially since his name has been mentioned among the contenders alongside Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappé.
Bayern Munich Clears Up the Mystery: Did Kane Win the Ballon d’Or?
The explanation was quite different from what fans had imagined. According to subsequent clarifications from Bayern’s account on X, the photo was part of the club’s promotional campaign for its Champions League clash against Arsenal. It was neither a hint about the Ballon d’Or nor confirmation that Kane had won the award.
The club shared the image again to highlight the English striker’s record against the London side. What initially seemed like a possible preview of an individual award announcement turned out to be a promotional strategy designed to build anticipation ahead of a major European fixture.
Harry Kane’s Record Against Arsenal Explains the Choice
Choosing Kane to promote the match was no coincidence. According to statistics shared by Bayern, the striker has scored 15 goals in 22 appearances against Arsenal, making them one of his favorite opponents. Throughout his career, he has scored more goals only against Leicester, with 20, and Everton, with 16.

A 2023 Photo Had Another Curious Story Behind It
The photo was not recent either. According to Sport1 and subsequently GOAL, Bayern had used the images in August 2023 to announce Kane’s signing. The photoshoot took place at the historic Sendlinger Tor cinema in Munich as part of the striker’s presentation following his departure from Tottenham.
The most surprising detail is that, because of delays in his arrival in Munich, the original shots were taken using a stand-in, and Kane was digitally added to the images.
