The giant killer is back

Bodo Glimt justly defeated Borussia Dortmund 1-0 on Wednesday in a Champions League match and continues to hold its own against the giants of European football from the Arctic Circle.

Bodo Glimt was clearly the better team throughout the first 45 minutes, with more ball possession, more chances, and a defensive effort that made it difficult for Dortmund to have clear possessions and caused them to lose the ball quickly.

First half

In the first half, the Norwegian team was practically only missing the goal. The moment they came closest was in the 28th minute, when Blomberg narrowly missed a cross from Hauge from the left.

Another good opportunity had come to Fet about 10 minutes earlier, with a deflected shot after a good combination.

In any case, aside from the arrivals, the match was predominantly played in Dortmund's half - which must have been satisfied to go into halftime with the match tied - and for a good part also near the area.

Second half

In the second half, Bodo came out to finish the game and in the first five minutes had four clear chances. The goal came in the 52nd minute, when Sjövold - right-back - scored in a center-forward position from a cross by Auklende from the right.

After finding themselves at a disadvantage, Dortmund had a clear reaction, first with the players already on the field and then driven by the entry of Felix Nmecha, Serhou Guirsassy, and Julian Ryersson, who completely changed the game.

The last half hour clearly belonged to Dortmund, who had several good chances but it wasn't enough for the equalizer.
