The Announcement That Could Shake Up the Real Madrid vs Bayern Tie
The Bayern Munich's dismal season has prompted the management to seek solutions before the Champions League season concludes, all while facing Real Madrid in the semifinals.
The rough season for Bayern Munich has led the board to make several decisions that could impact the team's performance due to internal tension, compounded by losing the Bundesliga title to Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen. As a result, the Bavarian team has pinned their hopes of salvaging the year on the ongoing, nearly finished Champions League season.
In light of this situation, the current coach of the German team, Thomas Tuchel, will leave the team at the end of the season, prompting the management to already be working on finding a replacement who meets Bayern's standards.
According to Herbert Hainer, CEO of Bayern Munich, during the mixed zone after the first leg of the Champions League semifinals between Bayern and Real Madrid, which ended 2-2, he commented that negotiations to sign Ralf Rangnick, current coach of Austria, are progressing well.
"He's a great expert in the football scene. He has enormous potential and the ability to develop players and teams. Everything I hear from the people in the Austrian national team is very, very positive. If he were to come, it would be a very good choice for us," Hainer affirmed.
