PSG dominate the UEFA Champions League Team of the Season with seven players
After their stunning 5–0 win over Inter Milan in the 2024/25 Champions League final, Paris Saint-Germain completely dominated the tournament’s Team of the Season, landing seven players in the XI selected by UEFA’s panel of technical observers.
Champions League best XI
In goal, the pick was Gianluigi Donnarumma (PSG). The backline features Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos, and Nuno Mendes (all PSG), alongside Alessandro Bastoni (Inter). In midfield, we have Vitinha (PSG) and Declan Rice (Arsenal).
The attack includes Lamine Yamal and Raphinha (Barcelona), along with Desire Doué and Ousmane Dembélé (PSG). Both Doué and Dembélé were also named Young Player of the Season and Player of the Tournament, respectively.
Raphinha finished as the top scorer, tied with Serhou Guirassy (Borussia Dortmund) with 13 goals, and also led the tournament in assists with nine. Meanwhile, Lamine Yamal was one of the breakthrough stars of the campaign.
PSG's style sets the tone
“We picked these attackers to reflect PSG’s outstanding movement up front, which defined their style all tournament long. This forward line shows a flexible team with players constantly rotating positions,” said UEFA’s technical team.
This dominant presence in the Team of the Season caps off a dream year for PSG, who not only lifted their first-ever Champions League trophy, but also completed the first treble in French football history under Luis Enrique.
