Luis Enrique Says PSG "Have a Plan" Ahead of Champions League Final
Paris Saint-Germain already has its sights set on the Champions League final, and coach Luis Enrique insists everything is under control. After eliminating Arsenal and securing their ticket to Munich, the Spanish manager revealed he is following a detailed plan to ensure his players are in peak physical and mental condition for the decisive clash against Inter Milan on May 31.
With two matches remaining in Ligue 1 and a French Cup final ahead, PSG's schedule is anything but light. However, Luis Enrique has opted for strategic rotations, resting several key players after the European semifinal. "We have a clear plan, based on each player's minutes and the travel they’ve had throughout the season," he said during a press conference. "It's essential to find the right balance to be fully prepared for the two finals we still have to play," he added.

Beyond the remaining fixtures, Luis Enrique emphasized the need for a personalized approach for each squad member. “Every player requires a different plan. Rest is key, especially from a mental standpoint. It’s not just about giving them days off, but also managing training sessions wisely and distributing playing time in these final matches,” the coach explained.
PSG will visit Montpellier this weekend before wrapping up the league season at home against Auxerre. But for Luis Enrique, the highlight of the preparation will be the French Cup final against Stade de Reims, set for May 24. “There’s no better way to prepare for a European final than by playing another final one week earlier. I think the schedule is perfect,” he said confidently.
The team is also fully behind him. Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi praised the coach’s process: “We’ve worked so hard to get here. Nobody believed in us, but we never gave up. Luis Enrique has done an incredible job. In just one year, he built a great team. He’s a genius.”
With the squad united, the atmosphere electric, and a clear plan in place, PSG is dreaming big. May 31 in Munich could become a defining moment in the club’s history… and for its manager.
