Luis Enrique Makes Important Announcement About Dembélé Ahead of Clash with Arsenal
Luis Enrique announced during the pre-match press conference ahead of the game against Arsenal that Ousmane Dembélé will be part of PSG’s squad
In recent days, optimism had been growing around the progress of Ousmane Dembélé’s recovery after being injured during the first leg at the Emirates Stadium against Arsenal, especially within PSG. This morning, Luis Enrique appeared before the media in a press conference and made an important announcement regarding Dembélé’s current condition ahead of the match against Arsenal at the Parc des Princes.

Dembélé completed PSG’s final training session
The plan implemented by PSG’s medical staff to handle Ousmane Dembélé’s injury as safely as possible has been one of total caution. Initial tests revealed the injury was much less serious than expected, yet at no point was it considered that he might play against Strasbourg.
During those days, Ousmane Dembélé continued training separately from the rest of the team. However, yesterday he was seen training with the full squad… although alarms were raised when he left the final exercise early. This morning, however, reports from France confirmed that Dembélé trained normally again and completed the final training session before the match against Arsenal without any issues.
Ousmane Dembélé will be on the squad list
At the press conference, anticipation was high to hear the final verdict from Luis Enrique. Although the club has yet to officially release the squad list, he confirmed that Ousmane Dembélé will be included. What he didn’t reveal was whether Dembélé will start or come off the bench. So, we won’t know the final decision until one hour before kickoff.
One person who did go into more detail about Dembélé’s situation was teammate Achraf Hakimi, who said that after speaking with him, he believes Dembélé is fully ready for the game against Arsenal. “He’s recovered well. I spoke to him, and he feels good. The coach will make the decision. If he doesn’t play, someone else will. He’s a very important player, and he helps us both on and off the field.”
