Barcelona reveal their starting XI for the battle to reach the final
Inter Milan and FC Barcelona are set for an epic showdown this Tuesday at the legendary Giuseppe Meazza, both aiming for a spot in the highly anticipated Champions League final in Munich. The 3-3 draw from the first leg left everything wide open, and the return leg promises even more drama, with both teams bringing their top players, passionate supporters, and everything on the line.
Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has opted to start Eric Garcia and Gerard Martín as full-backs, covering for the absence of Jules Koundé, who hasn’t recovered from a muscle injury. The rest of the starting XI remains nearly identical to the one from the first leg, featuring key names like Lamine Yamal, Pedri, De Jong, and Ferran Torres leading the attack.
The Barça lineup will be: Szczesny in goal; Eric Garcia, Cubarsí, Iñigo Martínez, and Gerard Martín in defense; De Jong and Pedri in midfield; and an attacking quartet of Lamine Yamal, Dani Olmo, Raphinha, and Ferran Torres.

For Inter Milan, coach Simone Inzaghi welcomes the return of Lautaro Martínez, who starts after picking up an injury in the first leg. He’ll be joined up front by Marcus Thuram, with midfield support from Barella, Calhanoglu, and Mkhitaryan. Inter’s starting XI will include: Sommer, Bisseck, Acerbi, Bastoni, Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco, Thuram, and Lautaro.
Beyond the football itself, this match is also historic financially. With all 76,000 tickets sold, Inter has broken the all-time revenue record for a football match in Italy, generating €14 million from ticket sales alone, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. This surpasses even the 2023 Milan derby Champions League semifinal, which held the previous record.
The stadium will be rocking, with a massive pre-match choreography planned by Inter fans, turning the match into a visual and emotional spectacle. In what is undoubtedly the most important game of the season for both clubs, only one will book their ticket to Munich.
