Inzaghi Praises PSG and Luis Enrique Ahead of Champions League Final: “They Are Very Dangerous and Have a Great Coach”
Simone Inzaghi is holding nothing back. On the eve of the UEFA Champions League final, the Inter Milan coach heaped praise on Paris Saint-Germain and their manager, Luis Enrique, highlighting the talent and threat posed by the French side.

“To win, we’ll need everything; every detail will matter. We’ll be facing PSG, a team with incredible strength, very dangerous, and with a great coach like Luis Enrique, whom I appreciate a lot,” said the Italian manager at a press conference.
Inter Moves Past the "Scudetto" and Focuses on Europe
Despite missing out on the Serie A title, Inzaghi assures that the team is mentally strong and focused on their continental objective. “We’ve already put the disappointment of the "Scudetto" behind us. In recent days, I’ve seen a lot of determination and little obsession. That’s the positive thing,” he emphasized.
The coach recalled the final lost in Istanbul two years ago against Manchester City and said the team has learned from that experience. “Back then, we weren’t the favorites, and we showed we could compete. We even deserved a bit more. But we were up against Guardiola and the best team in the world. Now, the preparation has changed a bit. Every final is different,” he noted.
Clash of Styles: Possession and Control
Regarding the style of play expected in the final, Inzaghi predicted a balanced encounter where possession will be key. “PSG leads Europe in possession, and we lead Italy. We are two teams that know how to play with the ball. It will be essential to move it well and not give them space. A team like PSG won’t forgive you,” he warned..
His Future? He’ll Talk After the Final
Amid rumors about his future, Inzaghi chose to downplay the issue and stay focused on the match. “I’ll answer only once. This isn’t about me we’re on the eve of the Champions League final. I’m on good terms with the board. We’ll meet on Tuesday, but right now the only thing that matters is the final,” he stated.
Pavard, the Big Question Mark in the Starting Lineup
The good news for Inter is that all players will be available. Benjamin Pavard, who had been dealing with discomfort, could be ready in time. “He’s trained well; he just needs one last session and we’ll see how he feels in the morning. He a key player. If he’s fit, he’ll start,” assured the coach.
Finally, Inzaghi did not hide his excitement about coaching in his second Champions League final. “It’s an enormous pride to represent Inter in the final match of this competition. As a child, I dreamed of playing in it. As a footballer, I reached the quarterfinals, but thanks to these players, I’ve now been in two finals as a coach. It’s incredible.”
