Alarm Bells Ringing at Bayern Munich With a Significant Injury
Portuguese player Raphael Guerreiro limped off with a left ankle injury during the match against Stuttgart in the thirty-second round of the Bundesliga, just four days before the clash at the Santiago Bernabéu against Real Madrid.
The Portuguese defender injured his left ankle fifteen minutes into the game while blocking a shot from Angelo Stiller. He was replaced by Leon Goretzka, who started the match on the bench.
Guerreiro joins a long list of injured players at the Bavarian club, including De Ligt, Sacha Boey, and Bouna Sarr. All of them are defenders, significantly reducing defensive options for the squad led by Thomas Tuchel ahead of the Champions League return leg against Real Madrid.
