(VIDEO) Désiré Doué scores a brace in his first Champions League final against Inter Milan with PSG
Désiré Doué has been the breakout star of the season. In his first year playing a key role for Paris Saint-Germain under Luis Enrique, the 19-year-old winger has already picked up the Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and now, the club’s very first Champions League title.
Doué’s second goal came in the 63rd minute, right when Inter Milan was pushing hard for a comeback. It started with a slick backheel from Ousmane Dembélé, followed by a perfect assist from Vitinha, and Désiré Doué finished it off in style, slotting it into the bottom corner to make it 3–0 and seal the win for PSG.
His first goal came in the 20th minute. After cutting into the box, he fired a powerful shot that took a deflection off Federico Dimarco, completely wrong-footing keeper Yann Sommer. That made it 2–0 for the Parisians, who had already taken the lead minutes earlier with a goal from Achraf Hakimi in the 12th.
A historic record on a magical night
With two goals and one assist, Désiré Doué became the first player ever to be directly involved in three goals in a UEFA Champions League final—a performance that cements his status as the standout player of the match and writes his name into the tournament’s history books.
