Xabi Alonso vs Vinícius? Jude Bellingham reveals the truth at Real Madrid
Real Madrid under Xabi Alonso has failed to fully convince this season, and one of the players most under scrutiny has been Vinícius Jr., whose reactions and recent performances have fueled controversy.
Real Madrid have not found consistency with Xabi Alonso in charge. Defeats such as the Champions League loss to Manchester City and visible frustrations from Vinícius Jr. when substituted have sparked rumors of tension inside the dressing room. Ahead of the Spanish Super Cup, Jude Bellingham finally addressed the situation.
Is there a rift between Vinícius and Xabi Alonso?
Some Spanish media outlets have spoken of a crisis at Real Madrid, highlighting Vinícius’ apparent displeasure with certain decisions made by Alonso. The Brazilian has gone 15 matches without scoring, a statistic Bellingham played down.
“We’ve talked about the problems we’ve had, but not everything that’s said is true. We’re with Xabi and with Vinícius; there’s no problem between them,” the England international explained.

“Vinícius is under a lot of pressure in every match. And we’re all human. Vinícius is a great player, spectacular. Goals aren’t the only thing that matters — you have to look at everything he brings to the game and the team. He’s playing very well and he’s a very good player,”
he added.
Bellingham dismisses crisis talk and highlights Super Cup importance
Bellingham spoke to the media ahead of the Spanish Super Cup semifinal against Atlético Madrid, underlining the importance of the match, which would give Real Madrid the chance to face Barcelona in the final.
“The key is that it will be difficult — they’re a tough opponent. We have to learn from the league match against them, our first defeat. We’ve reviewed that game and learned from it. I’m looking forward to this match. We know how important it is,” he said.
The England midfielder insisted that Real Madrid are not in crisis, pointing out that the team remains alive in several competitions.
“I don’t make decisions, I can give my opinion. We’re all united in the dressing room — we have to stay united. Sometimes there are ups and downs. We have to look at where we are now: in a semifinal, four points off the league leaders, among the top eight in the Champions League… It’s not a disaster.”
