Neymar Justifies Himself After His Confrontation With a Santos Fan and Promises Better Results and More Work
The former Barcelona footballer had a meeting with one of Santos' fans and then promised better results on social media
Neymar's Confrontation and Response
Following the defeat against Deportivo Cuenca and the recent draw against Recoleta, the former Brazilian national team player promised to improve and work hard to achieve that goal. “Losing, drawing, and winning are all part of soccer! We'll keep working to improve… That's the only thing we can do,” Neymar posted on social media after his performance drew heavy criticism.
The match that was the last straw
The 34-year-old striker was the center of attention in an encounter with his own team's fans after the game ended in a draw, lashing out at one of his supporters. “Am I spoiled? I'm giving my all here,” said the Brazilian player. “I respect everyone here; you don't respect anyone. Shut your mouth and show respect. I'm going to give you a minute of fame. Are you happy?” Later, in post-match interviews with journalists, Neymar clarified the situation: “I'm consistent; I do more than I should, and I can't be treated that way. I'm not saying I can't be criticized for what I do on the field, but off the field, I won't accept it,” said the Santos star.

Upcoming match and a chance
Santos will face San Lorenzo de Almagro on April 28 as the home team, meaning they will visit the Argentine team at Boedo and will try to secure a victory that has so far proved elusive for them in the group stage, in an effort to begin their comeback and advance to the next round
