Neymar Heavily Criticized in Brazil After Comments in the Santos Match
The Brazilian player from Santos was highly criticized for his comments when referring to the referee's performance in the match
Neymar in trouble
Neymar once again finds himself in the eye of the storm after a couple of his comments went viral, sparking a range of negative reactions directed at him for what was deemed a misogynistic remark he made to the referee during the match against Remo.
In a match that ended with Neymar's Santos defeating Remo 2-0, thanks to goals from Thaciano and Moisés, the team secured three very valuable points for this first phase of Série A. As a result, Santos is now firmly positioned in mid-table in thirteenth place, twelve points behind league leaders Palmeiras.
Comments regarding arbitration
It started with comments about the performance of Savio Pereira Sampaio, who was the referee of the match, and they said the following: "Savio is like that. He wants to be the star of the match, shows a huge lack of respect toward the players, doesn't want to talk, doesn't want to communicate, he is the one who directs the game and wants to control everything," said Neymar.

The left foot
The controversy arose at a time due to the peculiar comment made by Neymar regarding the referee's performance: "he got up with the left foot," said the Santos player. The problem is that this phrase in Brazil has historically offensive connotations and therefore, has generated a lot of rejection among the population of the South American country.
