Mohamed Salah played his first Süper Lig minutes for Trabzonspor, coming off the bench during the second half against Kasımpaşa on the opening matchday of the season.

Kasımpaşa looked to press from the start and enjoyed spells of possession. Adrian Benedyczak produced one of the home side's best opportunities, showing his skill inside the box before firing a shot that André Onana dealt with well.

Curiously, shortly after that opportunity, it was Trabzonspor that struck before halftime.

Benedyczak equalizes before Salah comes on

Kasımpaşa responded shortly after the restart.

In the 55th minute, Adrian Benedyczak converted a penalty to level the match and change the complexion of the contest.

Just three minutes later came one of the most anticipated moments of the game: Salah replaced Metehan Mimaroğlu in the 58th minute to make his first Süper Lig appearance for Trabzonspor.

The Egyptian immediately looked to make an impact with his pace and began creating danger from wide areas.

Salah found space to deliver a cross toward Paul Onuachu, but the striker was unable to make contact.

The Egyptian also had an opportunity to score on his debut. Salah connected with a ball that came through to him, but sent his effort over the crossbar.

Another of his most dangerous contributions came from a set piece. Salah stepped up to take a free kick and delivered a dangerous cross into the box that nearly resulted in Trabzonspor's second goal.

The Egyptian was unable to score in his first appearance for the club, but showed flashes of his pace and ability to create chances in his Süper Lig debut.
