Paul Onuachu opened the scoring in the fifth minute and struck again in the 22nd to complete his brace, while Mohamed Salah converted from the penalty spot in the 14th minute. Ernest Muçi and Franculino completed the rout.
The victory was an important response following a 2-1 defeat against Amedspor and allowed Trabzonspor to reach seven points from its opening four matches.
Now, the challenge will be to reproduce that clinical performance away from home.
Konyaspor Looks to Respond in Front of Its Fans
The pressure is on the other side.
Konyaspor has yet to find its rhythm at the start of the Süper Lig season and enters the match following a 1-0 defeat against Erzurumspor.
The Konya side has struggled to turn its opportunities into results and needs to start picking up points as soon as possible to prevent its difficult run from continuing.
Facing Trabzonspor represents a major challenge, but also an opportunity.
Backed by its supporters at the MEDAŞ Konya Büyükşehir Stadyumu, Konyaspor will look to change its momentum against one of the historic clubs in Turkish soccer.
Recent meetings also suggest that this matchup could be much closer than the teams’ current form might indicate.
In the last five meetings between the two sides, Trabzonspor has recorded three victories, while Konyaspor has won twice. Their most recent meeting ended in a 2-1 victory for the Trabzon side in May 2026.
