Early dominance and quick lead

Okan Buruk’s side came out with intensity, and just 10 minutes in, Barış Alper Yılmaz pounced on a defensive mistake, driving into the box and finishing low for 1-0. Things worsened for Fatih Karagümrük in the 23rd minute when Doh was sent off for a hard foul on Davinson Sánchez, leaving his side down to ten men.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, the visitors tried to respond and came close through Tiago Çukur in the 60th minute, but goalkeeper Günay Güvenç made a superb save to keep the lead intact.

Sealing the win late on

The visitors’ resistance broke in the 74th minute when a powerful cross from Barış Alper Yılmaz forced Fatih Kuruçuk to put the ball into his own net for 2-0. With the game under control, Torreira won the ball in the opposing box in the 87th minute and set up Mauro Icardi, who finished into an empty net to seal the 3-0 result.
