Fernando Santos' Besiktas failed to hold onto their lead and suffered a late equalizer against Basaksehir, who fought tooth and nail to avoid dropping points at their home ground, the Basaksehir Fatih Terim Stadium.

However, the equalizing goal came in the 94th minute thanks to a header from Emirhan IIkhan, leveling the scoreline at 1-1 just two minutes before the end of the match.
