Fenerbahce went to Sivasspor needing a win to avoid Galatasaray pulling away as Süper Lig leaders. They couldn’t manage that, ending up in a 2-2 draw, sharing points with Sivasspor and slipping from the top spot.

Even with the lead for 90 minutes, it wasn’t enough for Fenerbahce. In the 90th minute + 2’, a contentious play went to VAR, resulting in a penalty for the home team. Rey Manaj, formerly of FC Barcelona, converted it to level the game and end it in a tie.

This result drops Fenerbahce to second place with 86 points, now four points behind Galatasaray in the lead. Sivasspor, on the other hand, secured a valuable result, solidifying their position in tenth place in the middle of the Süper Lig table.
