The Black Sea derby promised excitement and certainly delivered. Samsunspor hosted Trabzonspor in the seventh round of the Süper Lig, in a match that began with plenty of intensity and ended with controversy, missed chances, and a commanding result.
The visiting side found spaces to exploit and put the home defense under pressure. Samsunspor tried to respond in front of its home fans, but the game took an unexpected turn before halftime.

Muçi, Nwaiwu, and Franculino Djú Make the Difference
Trabzonspor claimed a 3-0 victory with an attacking burst that left Samsunspor with no response. Ernest Muçi opened the scoring in the 27th minute, Chibuike Nwaiwu doubled the lead in the 38th, and Franculino Djú added a third just two minutes later, assisted by Salah.
Three goals in just over ten minutes gave the visitors a commanding advantage. Trabzonspor's clinical finishing contrasted with Samsunspor's struggles to contain their attacks, forcing the home side to search for a response in the second half.
A Red Card Adds to the Tension
Just when Trabzonspor appeared to have the match under control, Melih Kabasakal was shown a straight red card in the 43rd minute following a clash with Elliott Watt. The incident left the visitors with ten men for the remainder of the match and gave Samsunspor an opportunity to fight back.
With a numerical advantage, the home side tried to reduce the deficit but failed to turn its pressure into goals. Trabzonspor, meanwhile, had to withstand the pressure and protect its lead as the closing stages became increasingly challenging.

Three Shots Off the Woodwork Frustrate Samsunspor
Samsunspor came close to changing the course of the match, but luck was not on the home side's side. Tanguy Coulibaly struck the post in the 51st minute and hit the woodwork again in the 66th. In the same sequence, Fatih Kaya also struck the crossbar, leaving the home side with three clear chances that yielded no reward.
