Lukaku Breaks His Drought as Fenerbahçe Takes Control

Fenerbahçe cruised to a 3-0 victory over Alanyaspor in Matchday 8 of the Turkish Süper Lig, with Romelu Lukaku scoring his first league goal for the Istanbul giants.

The hosts dominated the opening stages but struggled to turn their chances into goals. Mason Greenwood missed several opportunities, including a 16th-minute penalty saved by the visiting goalkeeper. İrfan Can Kahveci converted the rebound, but his effort was ruled out for offside.

The breakthrough finally arrived in the 39th minute when Lukaku finished from close range to end his league scoring drought.

Fenerbahçe finally doubled its advantage in the 70th minute. A move involving Ederson and Kanté ended with Kerem Aktürkoğlu collecting a rebound and firing home to make it 2-0.

Ederson then produced an excellent save in the 73rd minute to deny Alanyaspor a way back into the contest.

The victory was completed in the 86th minute when Vedat Muriqi held off his defender inside the box before turning and finishing to seal the 3-0 scoreline.
