Amedspor defeated Besiktas 3-2 in a thrilling match to enter the international break as Super Lig leaders.

Amedspor secured an important 3-2 victory over Besiktas on Matchday 6 of the Super Lig. The home side took advantage of an excellent start at Diyarbakir Stadium to build a lead that ultimately proved decisive.

The scoring opened in the 13th minute. After Amedspor applied high pressure, Gift Orban found himself in a dangerous position and fired a powerful shot into the net to make it 1-0.

The lead doubled nine minutes later. Samuel Ballet provided the assist for Dia Saba, who finished with a powerful strike to make it 2-0 and quickly put Besiktas in a difficult position.

Besiktas Respond in the Second Half

The visitors pulled one back in the 55th minute. Orkun Kökçü unleashed a powerful shot that goalkeeper Alban Lafont parried away, but Dusan Vlahovic reacted quickly to the rebound and found the back of the net to make it 2-1.

Amedspor, however, responded immediately. Four minutes later, Furkan Soyalp won the ball from Salih Özcan and caught goalkeeper Alexander Nübel off his line with a clever finish to restore the two-goal advantage.

The match became even more dramatic in the closing stages. Amadou Cisse, who had entered during the second half, received his second yellow card in the 84th minute and left Amedspor with 10 men.

Amedspor Hold On and Finish as Leaders

With the numerical advantage, Besiktas pushed forward in search of a comeback. In stoppage time, a handball inside the penalty area was reviewed by VAR, and the referee awarded a penalty.

Orkun Kökçü stepped up and converted from the spot in the 90+8th minute to bring Besiktas within one at 3-2. However, the visitors ran out of time to find an equalizer.

With the victory, Amedspor moved to 13 points and entered the international break at the top of the Super Lig standings, while Besiktas remained on 12 points.

On Matchday 7, Amedspor will visit Gençlerbirliği, while Besiktas will host Kocaelispor.
