Galatasaray vs Amed SK | Highlights | Süper Lig
The Süper Lig leaders welcomed one of their closest challengers in a match that proved far more difficult than expected. The visitors came close to turning the tables in Istanbul.
Galatasaray faced one of its toughest tests of the season on Matchday 11 of the Süper Lig. Okan Buruk's side welcomed Amed SK to RAMS Park, under pressure to defend its lead at the top of the table against one of its closest challengers.
There were just two points separating the teams before kickoff: Galatasaray had 25 points, while Amed SK had 23. The match carried significant weight in the standings, and the visitors knew they had an opportunity to close the gap at the top.

Leão and Batrakov Seemed to Set Up a Comfortable Night for Galatasaray
Rafael Leão opened the scoring in the 7th minute after receiving a pass from Lucas Torreira inside the box. The Portuguese forward found space and finished to put the hosts ahead. Before halftime, Aleksey Batrakov extended the lead with an effort from a tight angle following a pass from Yunus Akgün. The sequence ended with an own goal by goalkeeper Alban Lafont.
Galatasaray came out looking to increase its advantage after the break and did so in the 59th minute. Batrakov struck again, this time with a shot from outside the box that took a deflection off David Bates before finding the back of the net. The 3-0 scoreline appeared to put the match firmly under the leaders' control.
However, Amed SK refused to give up. What looked like a decisive advantage began to disappear just minutes later, and the match took an unexpected turn.
Amed SK Fought Back and Turned the Final Minutes Into a Drama
Dia Saba pulled one back for the visitors in the 62nd minute with a free kick that found the net despite Uğurcan Çakır's attempt to keep it out. Three minutes later, Gift Orban connected with a header from Furkan Soyalp's cross to make it 3-2 and bring the match back to life.
Galatasaray needed to restore its comfort zone and did so in the 80th minute. Barış Alper Yılmaz headed home a cross from Gabriel Sara to make it 4-2. Still, Amed SK found another goal in stoppage time: Collins Sor reacted to a rebound inside the box and made it 4-3.
The Istanbul side held on during the closing moments to preserve its lead. It was an important three points for the league leaders, although the visitors' response showed that the match was far from over when Galatasaray scored its third goal.

Okan Buruk Had to Make Adjustments to His Lineup
Galatasaray entered the match without some key players. Victor Osimhen was unavailable due to a left knee injury suffered against Stuttgart, while Abdülkerim Bardakcı was also absent through suspension.
Under those circumstances, Okan Buruk used Ismail Jakobs as a center-back and deployed Barış Alper Yılmaz as the striker. The victory allowed Galatasaray to collect three points in a direct clash near the top of the standings.
