Fenerbahçe Stages Comeback To Finish Second in Süper Lig
Fenerbahçe ended the season with a thrilling comeback against Tümosan Konyaspor to secure second place in the Süper Lig.
In the final matchday of the Süper Lig, Fenerbahçe came from behind to defeat Tümosan Konyaspor 2-1 at home. With the victory, the yellow-and-navy side reached 84 points and sealed the runner-up spot in the Turkish top flight.
The match didn’t start well for the hosts. Just four minutes in, Melih Bostan put Konyaspor ahead following a well-executed long ball from goalkeeper Deniz, headed on by Umut Nayir and finished with precision by Bostan from the left side of the box.
Although Fenerbahçe controlled most of the match and created several chances, they had to wait until the final 15 minutes to turn things around.
Stunning Goals Fuel the Comeback
In the 75th minute, Sofyan Amrabat launched a long ball behind the defense that found İrfan Can Kahveci. The midfielder made no mistake, chipping the ball over the onrushing keeper to level the match 1-1.
Just seven minutes later, in the 82nd minute, Amrabat again played a key role, feeding Kostic on the left flank. The Serbian burst into the box and delivered a perfect cutback to En-Nesyri, who finished clinically with a low shot to make it 2-1.
Strong Finish to the Season
With this dramatic win, Fenerbahçe concluded the campaign with 84 points, finishing second behind the league champions. Meanwhile, Tümosan Konyaspor remained on 46 points and closed their season on a sour note.
It was a high-energy finale where head coach Ismail Kartal’s tactical changes paid off. The crowd celebrated not just the three points but also the fighting spirit of a team that refused to settle and delivered a memorable send-off to the season.
