Nahuel Molina Set for Serie A Return with Roma
AS Roma has improved its offer for Nahuel Molina and is closing in on signing the Argentine full-back from Atlético Madrid ahead of the new season.
Nahuel Molina is on the verge of becoming a new AS Roma player after the Italian club improved its bid for the Argentine right-back.
Following the rejection of an initial offer, Roma returned with a proposal worth €13 million plus €3 million in performance-related bonuses, bringing the deal closer to completion.
Molina, who alternated between the starting lineup and the bench under Diego Simeone at Atlético Madrid, is expected to leave the Spanish club as part of its squad reshaping ahead of the new campaign.
A move to Roma would mark a return to Serie A, where Molina previously impressed with Udinese before earning his transfer to Atlético Madrid.
In Rome, the World Cup winner would join fellow Argentines Paulo Dybala, Matías Soulé, and Santiago Castro, with reports indicating he is expected to sign a contract through 2029.
During his three seasons with Atlético, Molina made 181 official appearances, scoring nine goals and providing 17 assists, establishing himself as a reliable contributor despite never fully locking down the starting role.
