Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior has broken his silence after Cole Palmer was absent from the Champions League match against Pafos FC, a situation that sparked widespread speculation. Following Palmer’s absence, Rosenior moved quickly to clarify what happened with the midfielder.
When Will Cole Palmer Return to Action?
According to the Chelsea manager, Palmer’s absence was due to a minor muscle issue, suggesting that his time away from the pitch should not be long.
“Cole felt a bit of tightness in his thigh. He missed the match by very little, but he should be perfectly fine for Sunday. I have to manage the squad as best as possible and make sure we stay fit throughout the season with the number of games we’re playing in such a short period of time,” Rosenior explained.

Could Cole Palmer Leave Chelsea?
Former Chelsea defender Marcel Desailly spoke to Football365 about Palmer’s situation, hinting that the midfielder could consider leaving the Premier League club.
“I think Palmer wants more stability and a system built around him, but he still needs to fully recover from his groin injury and get back to 100%,” Desailly said.
He added:
“The question is whether he feels Chelsea will win the Premier League in the next two seasons. If not, I’m sure he will ask for a move to a club that builds a system around him.”
