The Arsenal Cup and the Tottenham Coach
Thomas Frank under pressure and scrutiny after being photographed holding a mug with Arsenal's logo
Thomas Frank is under pressure and scrutiny after the Arsenal mug incident.
Tottenham Hotspur's new Danish coach, Thomas Frank, was seen drinking coffee from a mug bearing the logo of rivals Arsenal FC before Wednesday's match against AFC Bournemouth.
The situation is becoming complicated for Frank, as he is not a popular figure among Tottenham fans after replacing UEFA Europa League-winning coach Ange Postecoglou during the summer break.
Thomas Frank's response
"I definitely did not notice it, it would be completely stupid of me to take it if I knew", said the Spurs coach during a press conference following the social media scrutiny. He added that if they had to worry about using a cup with another club's logo on it, they would be heading in the wrong direction.

Match against Bournemouth
The match ended 3-2 in favor of the Cherries, after being tied 2-2, Antoine Semenyo scored the winning goal in the last five minutes of added time. The timing and circumstances could not have been worse for the coach, who was photographed with another team's cup the same day.
The Spurs are not in good form and have won only one of their last six games. Bournemouth remains fifteenth with 26 points and a comfortable cushion above the relegation zone, while Tottenham is one position above with 27 points.

The fans
After a string of poor results and coming off the back of winning the UEFA Europa League last season, the draws and defeats, coupled with the challenges of a new manager, are not helping Spurs fans' morale and therefore putting more pressure on the new manager to deliver quickly.
