Ryan Giggs Highlights Manchester United Player and Calls Him a Generational Talent

Ryan Giggs and Rio Ferdinand discussed the young player on the former England defender's podcast. Both highlighted the qualities shown by Gabriel, whose future has generated speculation amid reported interest from other major European clubs.
Giggs Compares JJ Gabriel to Wayne Rooney
Ferdinand explained that he had the opportunity to watch Gabriel closely during preseason while training with Manchester United's first team and was impressed by his ability to use both feet, create space to shoot and avoid contact despite his physical stature.
However, one of the aspects that impressed the former defender the most was the teenager's mentality and his ability to handle the pressure and attention already surrounding his name.
The description immediately reminded Giggs of Wayne Rooney, who burst onto the highest level of English soccer at a very young age. The Welshman saw similarities between the two in terms of their personality and confidence when demanding the ball regardless of who they were facing.

Giggs was even more emphatic when discussing Gabriel's potential, describing him as a “generational talent.” He also believes the best path for the youngster's continued development is to remain at Manchester United.
For the club legend, a loan move would not be necessary at this stage. In his view, training with the first team, being included in matchday squads and spending time around experienced players can provide important tools for his development.
Giggs also said Gabriel needs to gradually become accustomed to everything that comes with representing Manchester United, from traveling with the squad to understanding the media attention surrounding one of the biggest clubs in the world.
