Omar Marmoush makes a decision amid the possibility of joining Tottenham
Omar Marmoush’s future is once again at the center of the transfer market. Tottenham are stepping up their interest in the Manchester City attacker, and the Egyptian appears to have already made up his mind over a potential change of direction.
Tottenham are in talks with Manchester City over the Egyptian forward, who has emerged as one of the main targets for Roberto De Zerbi’s side as they look to strengthen their attack before the window closes.
The Egyptian forward’s stance
According to reports, the Egypt international would be willing to become a new Spurs player and has reportedly given the green light to a potential move to North London.
The attacker’s stance clears one of the key hurdles in the negotiations, although the clubs still need to reach an agreement over the financial terms of the deal.
Manchester City set their conditions
The forward joined from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025 for around £59 million, meaning the English club would look to recoup more than that investment if they agree to let him leave.
Reports also suggest talks between City and Tottenham could involve a potential joint deal for Marmoush and Savinho, with the two attackers valued at close to £150 million combined.
Growing competition in Manchester
Marmoush remains under contract with the club until 2029 and recently showed his attacking quality again during preseason, including a brace against Atlético de Madrid.
However, competition for minutes in attack continues to increase, and Tottenham believe the Egyptian could become an important part of De Zerbi’s project.
With the player seemingly open to the move, the next step will depend on Tottenham’s ability to get closer to Manchester City’s financial demands.
