Who will be Manchester United's new manager?
Following the Red Devils' defeat in the FA Cup match against Brighton, Manchester United's board is faced with the imminent decision of finding a replacement for interim manager Fletcher.
Michael Carrick echoes through the corridors of Old Trafford.
The former Manchester United player and legend is emerging as one of the leading candidates to take over the position once held by Alex Ferguson, on an interim basis, for the rest of the season.
It would not be the first time that the English midfielder has taken the reins of the team. There was a period of three games in which he took over as manager after the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjær in 2021. Solskjær's current candidacy for interim manager is also present at Old Trafford.
Carrick knows Manchester United's club and team as a player, having spent 12 seasons as a pillar of the midfield, winning Premier Leagues, FA Cups, and UEFA Champions Leagues, among others.

What can Manchester United fans expect?
Today, Manchester United is out of the FA Cup and the League Cup, which means the club's objectives are now focused on climbing the Premier League table to secure a place in European competitions, given that they are currently in seventh place in the table.
Fletcher and Ole Gunnar Solskjær
Ole Gunnar Solskjær, who, before the defeat against Brighton, was presented as the main replacement option for interim manager Fletcher. He remains a different alternative to Michael Carrick. While the future of current interim manager Fletcher is more uncertain, he could remain at Old Trafford as part of the coaching staff.
An announcement is expected soon from Manchester United's management, with a new interim manager taking the reins of the team in the days leading up to the Manchester derby.
