Manchester City and Puma Sign Record-Breaking £1 Billion Kit Deal
Manchester City have set a new benchmark in the Premier League's commercial landscape after announcing a historic extension of their partnership with Puma.
The German sportswear giant will continue to be City's kit supplier for at least the next decade, with the agreement valued at approximately £100 million per season, making it the most lucrative kit deal ever seen in English football.
In total, the deal is expected to surpass £1 billion, eclipsing all prior domestic kit contracts and reinforcing City's position not only as a football powerhouse but as a commercial titan on the global stage.
The extension was formally revealed on July 15, underlining Puma's ambitious move to cement Manchester City as their flagship club amid fierce competition from industry rivals. Since taking over as the club’s kit supplier in 2019, Puma has played a significant role in elevating City’s brand presence worldwide.
Their collaboration has coincided with the club’s most successful era, which includes six Premier League titles in eight years, a historic treble in 2022/23, and an ever-deepening commercial reach. Notably, the women's team and various City youth squads have also captured titles during this period, providing further exposure to the Puma brand.
Transforming the Future as Challenges Await
The announcement comes at a critical juncture for Manchester City, with several storylines converging off the pitch. The club is currently renovating the Etihad Stadium to accommodate over 60,000 fans and is in the midst of refreshing its squad under manager Pep Guardiola.
Yet, as the club continues to evolve on and off the field, the deal not only secures the club’s financial future but also reinforces its status at the forefront of the footballing world—on the highest commercial and sporting stages—well into the next decade.
