Haaland’s Incredible Form: Hat-Trick With Norway and Premier League Player of the Month for September
The name Erling Haaland continues to echo across Europe. The Norwegian striker not only led his national team to a historic 5–0 win over Israel with yet another hat-trick but was also named Premier League Player of the Month for September thanks to his performances with Manchester City. A perfect month for a footballer who seems to have no limits.
Haaland, leading Norway’s World Cup dream
The Ullevaal Stadium in Oslo once again witnessed a show from the Norwegian “machine.” Despite missing a penalty early in the match, Haaland responded with a stunning performance, scoring three goals (in the 27th, 63rd, and 72nd minutes) and extending his streak to ten consecutive games with a goal. With 51 goals in 46 international appearances, he’s already a living legend for his country.
Under Stale Solbakken, Norway recorded their eighth straight win, moving closer to the 2026 World Cup, 28 years after their last appearance. The partnership between Alexander Sorloth, who provided two assists, and Haaland was unstoppable for an overmatched Israel side. The other two goals came from own goals by Khalali and Nachmias, completing the rout.
The victory keeps Norway comfortably on top of their group, nine points ahead of Italy. Qualification now seems only a matter of time — and much of that success bears the mark of a striker at the peak of his powers.
King in England too: Haaland named Premier League MVP
As if his international dominance weren’t enough, Haaland was also voted Premier League Player of the Month for September, after scoring five goals and providing one assist for Manchester City. Over the course of the month, he shone with a brace in the 3–0 win over Manchester United, a crucial goal against Arsenal (1–1), and another double in the 5–1 thrashing of Burnley.
With those numbers, the Norwegian has now reached 133 goals for City and 93 in the Premier League, cementing his status as the most decisive striker in the game today. “I’m very happy with this award. Thanks to my teammates, coaches, and the staff — we achieved this together,” said the forward after collecting his fourth individual honor in England.
While Oliver Glasner of Crystal Palace was named Manager of the Month and Martin Zubimendi won Goal of the Month, the spotlight remains firmly on City’s No. 9. Through records, hat-tricks, and accolades, Erling Haaland proves his ambition knows no bounds — dominating Europe while leading his country toward the World Cup dream.
