Guardiola Continues to Spend Freely, and Manchester City Is Preparing a $115 Million Offer for a Rising Star
Manchester City preparing massive offer for Elliot Anderson, one of the Premier League’s breakout stars
Manchester City is reportedly preparing an offer close to $137 million to sign Elliot Anderson this summer, one of the Premier League’s standout midfielders and a key player for Nottingham Forest. The club managed by Pep Guardiola has already made contact with the player’s representatives in the past.
At 23 years old, Anderson has established himself as a midfielder with great potential and an important option for the England national team, where coach Thomas Tuchel handed him his debut last September. Tuchel sees him as an ideal partner for Declan Rice in the team’s double pivot.
Developed at Newcastle United, Anderson joined Nottingham Forest in 2024 for around $49 million and remains under contract with the club until 2029. His rise in English football has attracted interest from several European giants.
Nottingham Forest is reportedly unwilling to negotiate for less than $111 million, while clubs such as Bayern Munich, Manchester United, and Chelsea are also monitoring the midfielder closely. In this context, City’s potential bid could exceed that figure and approach $137 million, making Anderson one of the most expensive transfers of the summer market.
Reports also suggest that, for family reasons, Anderson would welcome a move to Manchester, which could give Manchester City an advantage in the race for his signature.
On the field, Anderson stands out as a complete central midfielder, capable of dictating tempo, winning back possession, distributing the ball accurately, and contributing defensively, qualities that have made him one of the most sought-after young talents in English football.
