Enzo Fernández Wants To Leave Chelsea And Real Madrid Already Knows His Price
Enzo Fernández’s future is quickly becoming one of the biggest transfer sagas of the summer after informing Chelsea of his desire to leave.
Enzo has already made a decision about his future
The future of Enzo Fernández is beginning to heat up ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
According to multiple reports from England, the Argentine midfielder has already informed Chelsea of his desire to leave the club this summer — a major headache for the new project led by Xabi Alonso.
The Spanish manager has only been in charge for a few weeks and is already facing one of the worst possible scenarios: losing one of the team’s biggest stars before the season even begins.
Chelsea has no intention of giving him away
Despite the player’s stance, Chelsea’s position remains crystal clear: Enzo Fernández will only leave if a club submits an enormous offer.
The asking price has reportedly already been communicated to both the player’s camp and potential suitors: €120 million, exactly the same amount Chelsea originally paid Benfica to sign him.
The London club still views the Argentine as a fundamental piece of the project and has no intention of making his departure easy, especially after the impressive individual season he recently delivered.
Real Madrid emerges as the priority destination
Meanwhile, Enzo Fernández’s representatives have already started making moves behind the scenes.
According to reports in England, Javier Pastore, the midfielder’s agent, has already established contact with Real Madrid in an attempt to explore a possible transfer this summer. The Spanish giants are reportedly the player’s preferred destination.
However, the biggest obstacle remains financial. Inside Madrid, there appears to be little willingness to spend such a massive fee, particularly considering other major investments the club is already planning for the squad.
Manchester City is also monitoring the situation
Another club closely watching the situation is Manchester City.
The Premier League champions reportedly have the full backing of Enzo Maresca, who views the Argentine as an ideal player to strengthen City’s midfield even further. Still, City also seems reluctant to meet Chelsea’s €120 million valuation.
After a season in which Enzo Fernández produced 15 goals and seven assists, while also finishing runner-up in Chelsea’s Player of the Season voting, it is clear the Argentine will be one of the biggest names of the upcoming European transfer market.
