Morgan Rogers fired in the opener from Joao Pedro's pass in just the seventh minute, but Mohamed Belloumi's six-minute double turned the game around before half-time.

It was Joao Pedro who restored parity when he fired in Cole Palmer's cutback, but Hull nearly nicked all three points in the 88th minute – Mohamed-Ali Cho unable to get the better of Martinez.
Estevao felt he should have had a penalty when his cross appeared to strike the hand of Ajayi in stoppage time, but the appeal was ignored as the spoils were shared.
Chelsea lose control... again
The early stages of Xabi Alonso's reign at Chelsea have been characterised by plenty of goals and difficulty in managing games.
Just their first two Premier League home games in 2026-27 have already produced 11 goals (six scored, five conceded), the most in the Blues' opening two home top-flight matches since 1997-98 (when fans were also entertained with 11 goals).

They have now already lost five points from winning positions this season – not the form of a team that were being tipped as potential title challengers at the start of the campaign.
And though Hull could not see out a shock win, Belloumi enjoyed a memorable afternoon. He is the first away player to score twice in the first half of a Premier League game at Stamford Bridge since West Brom's Matheus Pereira in April 2021.
