Alexander Isak Could Be Back With Liverpool Against Manchester City

  • The Swedish forward is set to return from his injury soon

The light at the end of the tunnel

Swedish striker Alexander Isak is showing signs of improvement after a long and arduous journey with his injury, the tibia fracture he suffered last December that has kept him off the soccer field for months. This Thursday, he will resume training with the team and will be part of the squad for the FA Cup quarter-final against Manchester City

Isak's injury

The Liverpool player has been out of action for three months, despite having been one of the summer's biggest signings, costing 173 million dollars in his transfer from Newcastle United. He joined the team without any pre-season training, and his start with the Reds was challenging, although he managed to score three goals and provide one assist before suffering an ill-timed fracture, which occurred in his last game against Tottenham while attempting to score a goal

Back to training

Isak will return to training this Thursday and will try to get some playing time for the remainder of the season in England. Meanwhile, Liverpool aims to stay in the competition and try to win a trophy this season.
