AFCON 2025 champions rejoin their Premier League clubs

An unforgettable Africa Cup of Nations came to an end with Senegal lifting the trophy, and now the champions are gradually reintegrating into their teams in England.
Tottenham and Sunderland welcome Pape Matar Sarr and Habib Diarra
Pape Matar Sarr has already rejoined Tottenham Hotspur, who shared photos and videos of the midfielder proudly wearing his championship medal while being congratulated by his teammates.
Sarr has been a key player this season, featuring in 22 matches, with two goals and two assists.
Meanwhile, Habib Diarra was filmed arriving at Sunderland’s training camp, carrying his luggage and showing off his AFCON medal in a red case. The midfielder returns ready to add attacking options to a side that dreams of European qualification.
Another Senegal international already back in action is Ismaïla Sarr, who trained again with Crystal Palace. Before the session began, his teammates formed a guard of honor and applauded him.
