Haaland to Miss Manchester City vs. Brighton Match Due to Injury
The Norwegian striker has yet to recover and will miss the match against Brighton, his second since City was eliminated from the Champions League.
Manchester City will face a tough match against Brighton without their star striker. Erling Haaland remains sidelined due to his injury and, as Pep Guardiola announced, will not play against the "Seagulls."
"Haaland is not ready for tomorrow. It's not a serious injury, but he won't be able to play the next game. Stones and Foden are ready, yes," the Cityzen coach stated in the pre-match press conference.
The Norwegian forward requested to be substituted before extra time in the second leg of the Champions League quarterfinals against Real Madrid, and since then, he has not returned to the pitch.
He missed the FA Cup match against Chelsea on Saturday and will now be absent for the match against Brighton while his team fights for the Premier League title.
Currently, Arsenal has regained the lead and is four points ahead of City, albeit with two more games played than Guardiola's team. The Cityzens are now in third place, just one point behind Liverpool, who also have played one more match.
