Bruno Fernandes Could Leave United After Massive Offer from Al-Hilal
Manchester United captain and star midfielder Bruno Fernandes is reportedly being targeted by Saudi giants Al-Hilal, who have launched an all-out bid to sign the Portuguese international. The club is ready to pay nearly $120 million for the transfer.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Al-Hilal president Fahad bin Nafel met this week with Fernandes agent, Miguel Pinho, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh. During the meeting, the Saudi club presented a staggering proposal: a three-year contract worth over $230 million in total salary.
Racing Against the Clock Ahead of Club World Cup
The move is part of Al-Hilal efforts to strengthen their squad ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup. The Saudi side is set to face Real Madrid on June 18 in their tournament debut and is looking to finalize high-profile signings before then. Fernandes has been given a 72-hour deadline to respond to the offer.
So far, the player has not made a final decision, but club sources say “significant efforts” are being made to persuade him. The interest is serious, the offer is massive, and the decision could come soon.
United Yet to Receive Formal Bid
At Old Trafford, the official stance is to keep the player. Manchester United has not yet received a formal offer, but a $120 million bid might be too tempting to reject especially after failing to qualify for European competitions and facing the financial pressure of meeting Financial Fair Play regulations during a crucial summer rebuild.
Despite the looming interest, manager Ruben Amorim has made it clear he wants Fernandes to stay:
“It’s important for Bruno to see that we’re changing a lot of things at the club. If he sees progress on all levels, he’ll want to stay. He loves this club,” Amorim said.
Will the Captain Leave?
Fernandes, 29, has been one of Manchester United most influential players since joining in 2020. Losing him would be a significant blow as the team enters a new era. The ball is now in the player’s court.
