Andoni Iraola Backs Wirtz and Barcola Amid Criticism
The Liverpool manager publicly backed both stars and made it clear he still has full confidence in them despite their difficult start to the season.
Andoni Iraola came to the defense of Florian Wirtz and Bradley Barcola amid criticism of their start to the season with Liverpool. The manager played down concerns over their lack of goals and assists, stressed that both are still contributing to the team and was emphatic about what comes next: “They are two players whose level we know, and they will definitely perform well.” Iraola also insisted Barcola will improve as he gets more minutes and develops a better understanding with his teammates, with Liverpool looking to respond after their latest setback in the Premier League.
