Legia Warsaw Signs Arkadiusz Reca to Take Squad to Another Level in Pko BP Ekstraklasa
Polish international Arkadiusz Reca has signed a contract with Legia Warsaw, binding him to the club until the end of the 2027/28 season.
Arkadiusz Reca Joins Legia Warsaw in Blockbuster Three-Year Deal
Reca, 30 years old, is a defender with extensive experience gained in Italy’s Serie A, where he played over 100 matches. He stands out for his physicality—standing at 1.87 m—and his versatility on the left flank, having played as both a full-back and wing-back. He joins Legia from Spezia Calcio in Serie B, having also worn the colors of Atalanta BC and FC Crotone in Italy.
“After the experience I gained abroad, I feel I’ve changed as a footballer and as a person. I’m happy to be in Warsaw. I chose Legia because it’s the biggest club in Poland. Returning to the country, I wanted a place where I could keep developing. I want to win trophies with Legia,” Reca said as the team’s newest player.

The defender has played 15 matches for the Polish national team, debuting in the white and red jersey in 2018 during a Nations League match against Italy. He was included in the preliminary squad for the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
“This is another signing we had already announced. What will Arek bring to the team? Speed, physical condition, and the ability to play in two positions on the left flank. These are his strengths. I believe he’ll strengthen and elevate the squad’s quality. He’s undoubtedly another piece for coach Edward Iordănescu to utilize. This will make selecting the starting eleven for key matches easier,” said Legia’s sporting director, Michał Żewłakow.
Arkadiusz Reca will wear the number 13 jersey for Legia Warsaw and signed his three-season contract this Friday.
