The Enea Stadion in Poznań hosted an intense match in Round 3 of the 2025–26 Ekstraklasa, as Lech Poznań earned a 2–1 home victory over Górnik Zabrze in a game that was decided in the second half. The win marks the second for the home side in three matches, keeping them in the race for the top spots.

Although the first half was evenly matched with few chances, the team led by Niels Frederiksen gained momentum after the break. More direct play and an increase in midfield pressure turned the tide in their favor.

Bengtsson and Ishak Made the Difference

The opener came in the 60th minute thanks to a clever attacking move: full-back Joel Pereira threaded a sharp pass into space, allowing Leo Bengtsson to break through and finish with a precise low shot past the keeper.

The pressure didn’t stop there. In the 80th minute, team captain Mikael Ishak, who was the club’s top scorer last season with 21 goals, reacted quickest to a rebound in the box and slotted it home to double the lead. His goal-scoring instincts delivered once again, just when the team needed them most.

Late Górnik Response and Nervy Finish

Deep into stoppage time, Górnik Zabrze pulled one back through Ousmane Sow, who fired home from inside the area after a quick move down the left wing. The goal created a tense finish, but Lech Poznań’s defense held firm under pressure.

Despite their late push, Górnik remain without a win in the early rounds, while Lech now sits on six points from three matches.
